Add map point
The add map point page allows you to add map points for session locations OR exhibitor / sponsors.
Mapping
Map points can be assigned in two ways
- Session Locations
- Exhibitor / Sponsors location
Sessions operate off the concept of 'locations' as locations can be reused for a variety of sessions. Because of this, map points for session are set at the 'location' level.
For exhibitors / sponsors, the location is set at the exhibitor / sponsor level as only one exhibitor / sponsor can be assigned to a location. eg. 'booth A1' or 'Boot C' whereas session are typically 'ballroom A' OR 'room 1' etc.
Add new map point
Adding a map point is a 3 step process as follows:
Step 1 - Select map
A single map can be used multiple times.
The select map section is a listing of your maps, simply select the map you wish to add a map point to.
Step 2 - Select Item
The select item section allows you to select the item you wish to add a map point to.
Valid options are:
- Sessions
- Exhibitors / Sponsors
- Amenities
Once a section is selected, a second drop-down will be displayed with available items.
Step 3 - Map point
The final step is to simply click on the map where you wish to add the map point. A map point will be added to the map where you clicked. If you are happy with the location, simply save the map point. If you wish to move the map point, simply click on another location on the map.
Once done, save the map point.
